If you haven’t stopped by Urban Cookhouse in Midtown yet, do yourself a favor and go. No doubt, you’ll be greeted with a cheery staff and a wide selection of local brews and eats. It’s the perfect spot for a lunch date or a casual dinner with an affordable menu—most items under $10.

Though Urban Cookhouse has its roots in Homewood, Alabama, it has spread across the South and on into Nashville. It’s no wonder that this restaurant has been successful with its “farm to fire to table” mentality, setting its menu apart from other fast-casual dining options.

Urban Cookhouse has just about anything you’re craving. From sandwiches and wraps to salads and kabobs, they’ve anticipated your appetite. Beautifully painted across one of the restaurant’s interior walls is their motto “buy local, eat urban,” and it rings true across their whole menu. They use local ingredients to assure that the food on your plate is of the highest quality.

All of their meats are smoked on a “Big Green Egg” to create the best flavor without any added fats. Get an Urban Cowboy, a lime-marinated steak sandwich you won’t be able to put down, or a Berry Good salad full of seasonal berries and tomatoes.
