Fresh Peach Buttermilk Ice Cream

Ingredients

SERVINGS: 6-8  Cup(s)
  • 3 large peaches, chopped
  • 3/4 cup turbinado or white sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup 2% low fat milk
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vanilla extract or vanilla bourbon paste

Preparation

1. Combine peaches and sugar. Mash lightly. Let stand 30 minutes to an hour to macerate.

2. Combine cream, buttermilk,milk and vanilla. Chill. Place cream mixture and peaches in ice cream maker and proceed according to manufacturers instructions.

About this recipe

I'm too lazy to ever peel peaches, so I use them with the peel here. But by all means, peel away if you so choose.
