It's simple to turn everyday balsamic vinegar into a rich syrup perfect for drizzling everything from salads to pizza to dips to ice cream. While it's great on a summer caprese salad, we like it on the hearty greens and fruits of fall.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar (preferably that from Modena)
  • 1 tablespoon turnbinado sugar

Preparation

1. Combine 1 cup balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes or until thick and syrupy. Pour into a jar, seal and keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
