How We Met
We met a year and a half before we started dating at a mutual friend’s going away party at Burger Up. We became Facebook friends and a year or so later I messaged him because we had been “Facebook Flirting” a little bit. Such a modern-day way of meeting! He was on tour and when he got home, we went to Coco’s Italian Market for our first date and the rest is history. We bonded over music and food and now that’s basically still all we do. I love to show him the beauty of amazing food and ingredients and growing it yourself and he loves to broaden my music taste and show me artists and music I’ve never heard of before. The Wedding
We had a very small wedding of 35 close friends and family so me and my mama planned it together on our farm at my parent’s house, which is the house that I grew up in. I got ready in the same bathroom my sisters and I grew up getting ready for school in; where we took baths and laughed and cried and fought and did each other’s hair. My sisters helped me put my dress on and I walked right downstairs and grabbed my daddy’s hand and walked out the front door onto the porch. It was perfect.
Biggest Splurge
Definitely my dress. When we went to get it, I knew that we weren’t going to be having a huge wedding. So, getting a dreamy, Stevie Nicks witchy dress was exactly what I wanted and what we decided we would splurge on. I still dream of that dress every day and hope that I can wear it again one day!
