Spring 2022 Farm Dinner at Buttercup Farm
It was a honey of an event at our Spring Farm Dinner at Buttercup Farm in Cottontown Saturday April 23. The chickens were running and the eggs overflowing. This farm dinner was held at the farm of Erica and JK Brister, founders of the TN Honey Festival. In it's third year, the honey festival celebrates and educates the public about the importance of bees, pollinators and our local food supply. And the Bristers live it on their farm that is planted with fruit trees, and vegetables, and abundant with chickens and beehives.
With honey as a theme, Chefs Skylar Bush and Chris Calder (of Zeppelin) cooked up fire roasted lamb with a coofee crusted honey glaze, sweet potatoes bravas salsa roja and honey, and Ukrainian Salad with a honey beet vinaigrette. Nashville Craft donated their Honey
It was one helluva shindig, said one guest as they left the candle lit table and twiwnkle lights.
