1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Place butter in mixer. Beat until creamy. Add sugar, beat well. Add eggs, beat well after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and malt powder. Add to butter mixture in 3 additions, Do not over beat. Add chocolate chips.
3. Chill dough 30 minutes. Scoop dough with a small ice cream sccoop. Sprinkle with sea salt. Bake 10-15 minutes.
