Ron Camacho is a character, at 6’4” and 350 pounds. He never meets a stranger and wife (of 23 years) Ellen is not far behind in the enthusiasm. Together as “Care Kitchen Outreach” they are a force when it comes to serving meals to the needy, having rescued over 7 tons of food from going to waste in 1 year. Today, in addition to getting food donated from farms and organizations, they’re growing, harvesting and cooking acres of pattypan squash for the hungry.
