Smoke & Fire Farm Dinner On White's Family Farm

A COMMUNITY THAT FARMS TOGETHER, WORKS TOGETHER, AND PLAYS TOGETHER.
On a dark, chilly October night this past fall, we celebrated the tobacco smoking season and the fall bounty with Whites Family Farm. Springfield, TN is known as the dark-fired tobacco capital of the world. And the White family has been farming tobacco in Robertson County for generations.
Cooks, friends, neighbors, and Edible readers celebrated with a festive farm dinner under twinkling lights hung from a tent adjacent to the pumpkin fields. The food was served family style from bowls for a convivial dinner shared by folks young and old, black and white, city slicker and country folk.
