Beer With More Buzz

Tennessee breweries can now brew and sell beer up to 8% ABW (alcohol by weight) without getting a high gravity/distiller’s license. Tennessee law used to define beer as 5% ABW or less . “With the new higher alcohol definitions, brewers can create beers that are to-style with less limitations,” says Tennessee Brew Works founder and president Christian Spears. Celebrate with their 1927 IPA, the first of several beers that are made possible by the recent law changes. You’ll find it on draft and in bottles across Tennessee.
