The Thompson’s Station Farmers Market will kick off its 2018 season on Wednesday, May 2 at 4 p.m. in the barn at Homestead Manor. Now in its eighth year, the market will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. through July 25, featuring more than 20 local vendors who have grown, made, baked, raised, and crafted their products within a 50 mile radius of the historic property.

“We received an overwhelmingly positive response to the two night markets we held last year,” said Ashley Kirby, manager of the Farmers Market. “We hope that the later hours will be more convenient for both our vendors and our customers and also allow parents to bring their children and spend time enjoying the beautiful Homestead Manor property each week.”

Shoppers can expect the same vendors to be present weekly, offering a variety of locally produced goods such as soaps, oils, jewelry, herbs, sweets, breads, honey, jams, fruits and veggies, among others.

Vendors for the 2018 market include A Stitch in Time, And 3 Foods, Anvil Jewelry, Cedar Creek Farm, Eco Diva, Electric Delights, Firefly Essentials, Harmony Lane Farm and Creamery, Great Escape Coffee, Heldman Farms, Hippo Hollow Farms, Homestead Manor Farm, Kola Reina Gourmet Caramels, Kelley’s Berry Farm, LavendergirlTN, Nashville Olive Oil Company, Real Hardwood Creations, Riverbend Nurseries, Simply Traditional, Southern Jerky Co., Southern Ridge Farm, Spring Hill Bakery, Sweetwater Jam, and TriaHerbs.

Since the market will be held in the evening, guests are encouraged to create their own picnic by bringing blankets and sampling their new goods on the lush 50-acre property. Picnic baskets filled with snacks from Homestead Manor’s restaurant, Harvest, can also be reserved ahead of time by calling the restaurant at (615) 538-6113, and reservations for dining in the restaurant can be made by phone as well.
