Born in Alabama, Skylar has stayed true to his heritage specializing in low-country and farm-to-table cuisine.  Skylar began his culinary journey at Satterfield’s in Birmingham where he prepared rabbit tagliatelle with chickory and blue cheese.

Later, in Tuscaloosa at Epiphany, Skylar expanded his portfolio with southern produce such as butterbeans, Snow’s Bend carrots, & pattypan squash.  Seafood became pivotal in Skylar’s career at Chuck’s. With their own fleet of boats, Skylar was able to fuel his passion for fishing, while supplying many southern purveyors with quality gulf seafood.  Eventually, Skylar laid roots in Nashville and began chefing at The Southern where he learned the art of fine dining combined with catering.  Fortune was on the side of The Honeysuckle when Skylar walked through our doors, transforming our menu into what you see before you today.

When Skylar is not cooking, he is watching GA football, playing music, hiking, fishing, or playing with his daughter Ava.
