Pastry Chef Katie Fair of Kuchnia + Keller

We're happy to welcome Pastry Chef Katie Fair of Kuchnia + Keller to The Edible Kitchen at The Sunday Market Sunday, May 13th.

Kuchnia & Keller, comes from the words "kitchen" in polish, and "cellar" in German. The name represents two of the many Eastern European countries that have been the inspiration for the menu. The menu draws on recipes and flavors from Eastern Europe and also honors their influence in foods we are already familiar with here in the States.

For 10 years, Kuchnia + Keller Owner Aaron Clemins, was the sous chef at City House. This concept was born out of a love of his own personal Wisconsin heritage combined with his more recent passion for regional-style cooking that he gained working at City House.

Aaron is joined by a team of seasoned restaurant talent, including his wife Christen - Marketing Manager, Buddy Buttram - Bar Manager (formerly from Bastion), Katie Fair - Pastry Chef (formerly of Prima), Juliette Ceballos - General Manager (formerly of Leon's, GA, City House), Erica Gluck - Hospitality Manager (formerly City House) and beer program partnership with Matt Leff (Rhizome Productions). He has also reunited with long-time friend Mark Shelton (also previously from City House) who he has brought with him as his sous chef to Kuchnia & Keller.

Katie will be whipping up a Napoleonka, a beautiful layered dessert with homemade strawberry jam made with local strawberries. Word has it that Katie is making individual Napoleonkas for tastings!  We can't wait. Demo to start at noon. See ya there.
