“If it is a plant, eat it. If it was made in a plant, don’t.” –MICHAEL POLLAN

Starting a garden? Visit your public library to get seeds. Gardeners save their seeds from last year’s harvest, and donate to the library, which packages and labels them for community members to check out with their library cards. Some of the seeds collections even include heirloom varieties of flowers and produce! Seed savers include Delvin Farms, Giving Thanks Farms, as well as savvy gardeners from around town. After harvest season, save seeds from some of your best, strongest plants and then bring them back to the library to share for next year. No seeds to return? No problem … and no fines.
