Maybe because it's been 80 degrees in November, the cauliflower has taken its damn good time to make an entrance this year. But finally on a cool day in November, we spotted it at the Nashville Farmers' Market, the tight heads coyly hiding under their big flowy leaves, blushing with purple and burgundy tints. This plump dense cruciferous vegetable opens cooking possibilities not common in the summer.
