Seed spitting contests, and vodka injected melons have kept watermelons in the lower echelons of the social ladder. But watermelon has many uses beyond its country bumpkin reputation. At its peak, juicy sweet, crunchy watermelon is perfect paired with sultry,salty, creamy cheese for a bright side dish.  Serve alongside grilled steak or chicken.
