"The best way to a musician's heart is through a home." Greg Allman tells me on our interview. This comes as no surprise, as over half his days are spent on the road. As a result, it's a huge deal to be invited in for a home cooked meal. He reminds me that he grew up in Georgia on meat loaf, collard greens, hoppin' John and creamed corn, but as he says, you have to lighten up on it as you get older. To compensate, Allman has juice made from kale, beets, and carrots every morning. Allman was in Nashville June 25 for his Laid Back Festival at the Amphitheatre at Fontanel. He organized the festival himself, because "you don't drive a cadillac all your life, then go to a ______," (fill in the blank). We're glad he chose Nashville as only 1 of 5 cities the tour is visiting.

So, who's cooking? If you need some recipes we got you covered.
