American Coffee Grand Opening
Americano Coffee Lounge will celebrate its grand opening event on Thursday, Oct. 25, officially opening its Wedgewood-Houston doors to the public with tastings, giveaways and live music all day.
Nestled on the first floor of Houston Station and across the street from “The Ranch,” Jackalope Brewing Company’s new brewery and taproom, Americano Coffee Lounge adds a unique 1940’s flair to a typical coffee shop experience. With reminiscent décor and classic coffee combinations, the coffee lounge adds to the diversity that puts Wedgewood-Houston on the map.
Live music will be offered throughout the day, as well as free coffee giveaways and pastry and chocolate sampling. In addition, Americano Coffee Lounge will partner with Porter’s Call, a local nonprofit that provides free counselling services for musicians and recording artists, to donate a portion of each purchase to the nonprofit.
The schedule of grand opening events includes:
8:00–10:00 AM | Free pastries with the purchase of a coffee
10:00 AM–12:00 PM | Buildable biscotti station
12:00–2:00 PM | Lunch & Learn: the secret to French press and pour over coffee
2:00–4:00 PM | Colts Chocolates pairings
4:00–6:00 PM | Happy hour with Corsair Distillery
Americano Coffee Lounge is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. With 1,200 finished square-feet, the space hosts nearly 50 seats, a stage and piano for live music performances. In addition to serving hot and iced coffee beverages, the menu includes handmade Italian sodas, pastries, charcuterie boards, sandwiches, and dessert flights.
