At last! A Tupelo Honey Café of our very own!

Tupelo Honey Café of Asheville, NC fame has been sprinkling sister restaurants across the South, harmonizing their signature style and favorite menu items with local ingredientsspirits, and attitudes. Now Nashvillians can happily flock to the newest café location in Cool Springs where the warm and appropriately honey-colored interior makes guests feel right at homeVisitors will be impressed with the cozy but spacious outdoor patio seating foenjoying the remaining Indian Summer evenings.

Tupelo Honey boasts fresh, made-from scratch, and thoughtfully sourced food, and their menu does not disappoint. Despite their national ambitions, Tupelo Honey's leadership makes good on their promise to infuse each of its locations with local character; the ingredients, the beer, the liquor, and even the art on the walls are all the work of local and regional artisans. Each of the dishes highlights flavors of the South with a cosmopolitan twist, either by introducing international flavors to cherished southern staples or by "southernizing" haute dishes through the use of grits and black-eyed peas. Either way, diners are in for a treat once they sample the fried avocado with simple salsa and sour cream or the grilled skirt steak with potato cracklins and green tomato chow chow. Save room for the delectable homemade banana pudding!

Adding to the curious combination of local and international flavors in the food, the drinks follow suit with local brews and regional liquors presented in new and tasty ways. Perfect for brunch is the 'Violet Beuaregarde' champagne cocktail, an excellent substitute for when a mimosa just seems too commonplace. Be on the lookout for the seasonal cocktail, currently the impressive Pumpkin-spiced Kentucky Mule served in a copper mug. Also take note of the fabulously purple dessert cocktail, the 'TN Iris' Blackberry-Moonshine Daiquiri.

Tupelo Honey Café in Cool Springs is now open for dinner, weekend brunch, and weekday Blues and Brews Happy Hour (4pm to 7pm).
